Absztrakt: A tanulmány célja, hogy bemutassa miként alakult az Európai Unióban a turizmus jelensége országos és regionális szinten a 2020-as pandémia okozta visszaesést és a megszorításokat követően. A munka első része a turisztikai reziliencia elméleti oldalát tárja fel, kiemelve egyrészt, hogy a regionális gazdasági reziliencia alapul vehető a szakmai nomenklatúrában a valamelyest később megfogalmazódott turisztikai reziliencia esetében, másrészt, hogy különböző pályák állnak a régiók előtt (reziliens, kilábaló, hanyatló). A munka második részében az Eurostat turisztikai adatbázisát felhasználva az országok és a régiók tipizálásra kerültek a reziliencia tekintetében. Kiderült, hogy a legtöbb térség visszatért a pandémia előtti állapothoz, s különbségek inkább abban vannak, hogy ez mennyi idő alatt következett be (rugalmas vagy kilábaló). Magyarország
a vizsgált adatok összesítése szerint az utolsó ezen a téren, s régiói közül Budapesten a turisztikai látogatottság egy komoly bezuhanás után lassan tért vissza az eredeti állapotába.
Abstract: The aim of this study is to present how the phenomenon of tourism evolved at national and regional levels within the European Union following the downturn and restrictions caused by the 2020 pandemic. The first part of the study explores the theoretical aspects of tourism resilience, highlighting, on one hand, that regional economic resilience can be taken as a basis for the somewhat later formulation of tourism resilience in professional nomenclature and, on the other hand, that regions face different trajectories (resilient, recovering, declining). In the second part of the paper, using Eurostat’s tourism database, countries and regions were classified in terms of resilience. It turned out that most countries and regions returned to their pre-pandemic state, and the differences are more in how long it took (resilient or recovering). According to the data examined, Hungary is the last in this field, and among its regions, Budapest slowly returned to its original state after a serious fall.
